On December 27, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 14 of 35 municipal seats in Chandigarh. With this, AAP became the party which secured the most number of seats in the city municipal elections. With 12 seats BJP stands at the second place. Congress won eight seats while the Akali Dai got one seat. AAP party chief Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “This time Punjab is ready for change.” Punjab will go to polls early next year.
