Quezon Memorial declared a National Cultural Treasure

The Quezon Memorial Shrine (QMS) in Quezon City is now a National Cultural Treasure.

Mayor Josefina "Joy" Belmonte broke the news following the official declaration of the National Museum of the Philippines.

The shrine, considered as the most significant landmark of the city, has three 66-meter pylons (66 is former President Quezon's age upon his death) which represents the three major islands of the Philippines, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The QMS is the second National Cultural Treasure located in the city.
