Merry Christmas - A Forgotten Truth from History (Joyeux Noël) is a 2005 film directed by Christian Carion.

The film focuses on the 1914 Christmas truce, during the First World War, between German, French and British trench soldiers.
It is a real episode that happened in December 1914, when William of Prussia, Crown Prince of the German Empire, sent the first singer of the Berlin Opera to visit the front. When the tenor, Walter Kirchhoff, sang for the 120th and 124th Württemberg regiments, French soldiers stepped into their own trenches and cheered.
