Residents and businesses evacuated as giant sinkhole appears in Barming

Residents have had to be evacuated from their homes after a giant sinkhole opened up near Maidstone.

The chasm appeared last night on Tonbridge Road in Barming and traffic chaos is now expected, as repairs could take weeks to be finished.
