Former Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board chairman Wasim Rizvi has reportedly received death threats for filing a PIL in the Supreme Court seeking the removal of verses from the Quran, which he alleges “teach violence”. Rizvi also released a book titled Muhammad, which portrays Prophet Muhammad in a bad light. Following these controversies and threats, Rizvi has recorded himself expressing his desire to be cremated and not buried. In the video, Rizvi mentioned that his Hindu friend, Mahant Narasimha Nanda Saraswati of the Dasna temple, should light his pyre.
