India reports 12,516 new Covid-19 cases, 501 deaths

India reported 12,516 new Coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking its overall tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,44,14,186, while the number of active cases in the country declined to 1,37,416, the lowest in 267 days, according to data from the Union Health Ministry on Friday.
