Indian Army carries out airborne troop insertion exercise in Ladakh at more than 14,000 feet

As the winter approaches and the Indian army gears up for another year of enhanced deployment in Eastern Ladakh, an exercise to carry out airborne insertion was carried out at more than 14,000 feet. The exercise involved the conduct of Oxygen Combat Free Fall jumps and integrated battle drills by airborne forces, mechanised columns, and attack helicopters, validating capabilities and seamless integration.
