On October 21, the Supreme Court of India resumed physical hearings. Physical hearings will take place only on two days of the week for now. Reportedly, normal functioning is expected to start post-Diwali. The top court also issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) for the physical hearings, which will be held on Wednesdays & Thursdays. Virtual hearings will take place on Monday and Friday. Both physical court as well as video conferencing hearings will take place on Tuesday. Many Covid-19 restrictions will have to be followed. Judges, lawyers and other court staff members are separated by glass partitions and hearings take place through microphones and speakers. Small window is being used to pass on documents to the judges only after complete sanitisation. Watch the video to know more.
