Navjot Sidhu quits as PCC chief; Amarinder Singh's 'personal' trip to Delhi triggers speculation; Arvind Kejriwal's Punjab visit begins today; more

Two days after the swearing-in of the rejigged Punjab Congress Cabinet, PPCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday dropped his resignation bomb, tweeting out the letter to Sonia Gandhi about him stepping down as state Congress chief.

Former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s two-day visit to New Delhi has triggered speculation about the miffed Congress leader’s next course of action amid reports about his possible meeting with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership late on Tuesday even as there was no official confirmation from either side.

As the Punjab crisis elevates with Sidhu's resignation as PPCC chief, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is set to visit the state on a two-day trip from today. During his visit he will make "big" announcements, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said on Tuesday.
