During a visit to the Dewan Majma vaccination centre in Kuching on Thursday, Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said 63.6% of 16- and 17-year-olds in Sarawak had been vaccinated against Covid-19.
He said as of Wednesday, 61,271 of the 96,400 teenagers in this age group had received their first dose, as the state prepares to reopen its school on Oct 3.
