Ganesh Visarjan takes place on the last day of Ganesh Chaturthi or on Anant Chaturdashi. It signifies that the devotees have been sending him back to his home.
The Ganpati idols will be immersed in water with emotional prayers and hope that Lord Ganesha will visit his devotees once again next year. Tomorrow will be the Visarjan day and the Thane municipal corporation is almost set with all required preparation for the coming big day.
