California's Caldor Fire Rages Across Sierra Nevada, South Lake Tahoe Community Evacuated

The Caldor fire in California has led to the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from the shores of Lake Tahoe in northern California. The Caldor fire has already burned more than 207,931 acres as of September 1 evening, reported CNN. The fire has been burning for nearly three weeks. It is threatening the tourist city of South Lake Tahoe as it marches toward Nevada's border. Area surrounding the fire was under a red flag warning until September 1 night.
