Case of assaulted security guard reclassified as murder after victim dies

Perak police have reclassified the case of a security guard who was assaulted by a homestay guest at a condominium in Ipoh last year as murder following his death on Aug 27.
The police had suggested a heavier charge against the suspect to the deputy public prosecutor’s office.
