The monsoon wreaked havoc in many parts of the country in July in states such as Karnataka and Maharashtra where incessant rainfall led to a flood-like situation and landslides and caused several deaths. Even as of now, the situation remains worrisome in Maharashtra where torrential rains have triggered floods and disrupted normal lives.
