Marc-Oliver Kempf scored a brace and Borna Sosa provided a hat-trick of assists in this entertaining match against newly promoted Furth, who get a late consolation when substitute Jamie Leweling scored on his Bundesliga debut.

This was the first time since a 3-0 win over Schalke in 2011 that Stuttgart started a Bundesliga season with a win.
