New England Revolution extended their lead in the Eastern Conference standings as they beat Philadelphia Union 2-1 at home on Sunday.

The hosts took an early lead when Matt Polster scored his first goal of the season.

17-year-old Paxten Aaronson rewarded Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin for giving him his first MLS start as he fired the ball past goalkeeper Matt Turner to level the score.

Gustavo Bou had his penalty shot stopped but slammed home the rebound to score the winner before the half-time.
