Population Control Policy: 50% of UP BJP MLAs have three or more children. The UP government is preparing to bring a law in the name of population control. Under this law, persons with more than two children will be banned from contesting local elections, promotion and government exemption. If BJP MLAs of the state will be evaluated on this basis, then 50 percent of their MLAs will not be able to meet this criterion.

यूपी सरकार जनसंख्या नियंत्रण के नाम पर कानून लाने की तैयारी में है. इस कानून के तहत दो से ज्यादा बच्चे वाले व्यक्तियों को स्थानीय चुनाव लड़ने, प्रमोशन और सरकारी छूट पर रोक लगा दी जाएगी. इस आधार पर राज्य के बीजेपी विधायकों का मूल्यांकन किया जाएगा, तो इनके 50 फीसदी विधायक इस कसौटी पर खरे नहीं उतर पाएंगे.
