Virat Kohli-led Team India management has been dealt with a blow with Gill's injury cropping up. So far, nothing is clear if the right-hander will be sent back home or will miss the first half of the five-match Test series, due to his leg injury, but former keeper-batsman Saba Karim isn't impressed with the youngster. Karim didn't mince his words and stated that the Indian opener shouldn't have travelled with the team, en route to the UK, if he had injury concerns prior to the WTC summit clash versus New Zealand.

Saba Karim ने खेलनीति पोडकास्ट पर बात करते हुए कहा, “मैं इस बात से हैरान हूं कि Shubman Gill ने अपनी चोट छुपाई. वह India के साथ लंबे समय से काम कर रहे हैं. फिजियो होते हैं और बाकी का स्टाफ होता है जो खिलाड़ियों की चोट पर नजर रखता है. पहली बात तो इस बात पर हैरानी है कि यह कैसे हुआ और यह पहले सामने क्यों नहीं आया.”
