Television actress Shruti Das approached the cyber cell department of Kolkata Police via e-mail after receiving a barrage of online hate comments about her dusky skin tone since breaking into Bengali serials in 2019.
According to police sources, Shruti Das has not provided her local address in Kolkata or her contact number. The details that she has given are also incomplete. The police have reached out to Shruti over e-mail and social media asking her to provide more details on the basis of which they can initiate an FIR (First Information Report).
