Bengal Violence: SC sent notice to Centre, State and EC

The Supreme Court has issued a notice over a petition seeking an inquiry into the violence in West Bengal. This notice has been given to the Central Government, West Bengal Government, and the Election Commission. The petition sought an inquiry for the reasons for the violence after the assembly elections. The petition also demanded that the victims should be compensated. The Centre, the State, and the EC have been given 4 weeks to respond to the notice.
