The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police seized at least 2 ton (2000 kg) of ganja in Rayagada. The task force seized the ganja after a raid near Tikarpada Harijan Sahi on State Highway No-5 in Muniguda of Rayagada district.
The raid was conducted on the basis of intelligence input regarding illegal transportation of Narcotic Drugs. The seized ganja weighing more than 2000 kg (20 qtl/02 ton) is expected to be worth around Rs 1 crore.
Apart from this, a 12 wheeler truck and other incriminating materials were also seized, though the persons accused managed to flee the spot.
