As farmers continue their protest at the borders of New Delhi, they continue to remain skeptical of mainstream news media.
In response, the protesters have established their very own newspaper called Trolley Times. The paper is distributed both within the protest site and beyond.
The Wire spoke to the founding members of the newspaper in order to understand what led them to establish this alternative media intiative.

The founding premise of The Wire is this: if good journalism is to survive and thrive, it can only do so by being both editorially and financially independent. This means relying principally on contributions from readers and concerned citizens who have no interest other than to sustain a space for quality journalism.
