After losing the Congress stronghold in Amethi and winning just 52 parliamentary seats for the party in the 2019 elections, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has insisted on resigning as party president. Congress party leavers, however, say they will not accept his resignation and even the UPA’s coalition partners are anxious of the party’s future.
