'I Want To Be A Doctor': Payal Tadvi

Dr Payal Tadvi, a 26-year-old oppressed caste Muslim doctor, committed suicide in Mumbai on 22nd May. Payal, an Adivasi Bhil woman from Jalgaon district in Maharashtra, was facing harassment by three senior doctors. She was a trained and practising gynaecologist and was working as a second-year resident at the BYL Nair Hospital.
