So far, more than 9 thousand people in the country have fallen prey to this deadly infection. Experts have believed that it is extremely dangerous for people with poor immunity. In general this fungus affects the eyes, brain, or lungs. Meanwhile, there have been some cases in the national capital in which the impact of this infection has been seen on the small intestine. In such a situation, the question has arisen whether black fungus can harm other parts of the body as well.

देश में कोरोना संक्रमण से मचे हाहाकार के बीच म्यूकोरमाइकोसिस (ब्लैक फंगस) के मामले भी तेजी से बढ़ रहे हैं। देखते ही देखते इस फंगल संक्रमण ने महामारी का रूप ले लिया है। अब तक देश में करीब 9 हजार से ज्यादा लोग इस घातक संक्रमण की चपेट में आ चुके हैं। विशेषज्ञ मानते रहे हैं कि कमजोर इम्यूनिटी वाले लोगों के लिए यह बेहद खतरनाक है। सामान्य रूप से यह फंगस आंखों, मस्तिष्क या फेफड़ों को प्रभावित करता है। इस बीच राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में कुछ ऐसे मामले भी सामने आएं हैं जिसमें इस संक्रमण का असर छोटी आंत पर देखने को मिला है। ऐसे में यह सवाल खड़े हो गए है कि क्या ब्लैक फंगस शरीर के अन्य अंगों को भी नुकसान पहुंचा सकता है?
