Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez promises to "restore order at the borders", after the influx of some 6,000 migrants into Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta from neighbouring Morocco, which he describes as a "serious crisis for Spain and also for Europe". Ceuta, together with Melilla -- Spain's other North African enclave -- have the European Union's only land borders with Africa. According to the Spanish Interior Minister, Spain has already returned 2,700 people who entered the territory illegally.
