Puducherry Assembly Polls 2021: N Rangaswamy's AINRC+ Takes The Lead

Counting of votes in the Union Territory of Puducherry began at 8 am today along with four states that went to polls this year. The N Rangaswamy's AINRC-led alliance - of which the BJP is a part - is leading in 11 of the 30 assembly seats while the Congress is ahead in 6. Puducherry is currently under President's Rule after the dramatic collapse of the V Narayanasamy-led Congress government. The Puducherry assembly election 2021 took place in a single phase on April 6.
