Ravi is the son of an honest police officer. Ravi accidentally injures the eyes of his neighbors and causes his blindness. Fearing that his father would beat him, he ran away from home and was raised by dawn in Calcutta, naming him Kalidas. Dawn dies in the encounter and Kali asks him to leave the criminal world and become a better citizen. Kalidas changes his name to Raja and while traveling by train, saves his father and later discovers their relationship. Because of his criminal background, he did not disclose that he was his son. Satyanarayana takes him to his house and introduces Raja to his family. He has to face the local goons led by his father Rao Gopala Rao. In the meantime, he meets Radha and discovers that he is the daughter of a blind man because of him. Raja helps her to regain her father’s eyesight and win her heart. The rest of the story is how he wins the hearts of his family and helps his father capture local goons. This story is a novel written by Telugu novelist "Girija Sri Bhagavan". Conversations were written by "Paruchuri Brothers".The film was not a blockbuster hit, but it was a successful film, according to box office collections.
