Kochi: Two French warships have arrived at Kochi Port to take part in the La Peres joint military exercise. The two ships - Tonner and Frigate -will take part in a joint exercise led by the French Navy to be held in the Bay of Bengal. Navies from the four QUAD countries will be involved in this exercise. The QUAD countries include India, USA, Australia and Japan.

इंडो-पैसेफिक क्षेत्र में चीन के बढ़ते दबदबे को रोकने के लिए दुनियाभर की पांच बड़े देशों की नौसेनाएं अगले हफ्ते बंगाल की खाड़ी में एक बड़ा युद्धभ्यास करने जा रही हैं. फ्रांस के नेतृत्व में अमेरिका, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, जापान और भारत की नौसेनाएं 5-7 अप्रैल के बीच 'ला-पेरेस' एक्सरसाइज में हिस्सा लेंगी. भारतीय नौसेना के दक्षिणी नौसेना के कमान के कोच्चि स्थित मुख्यालय में फ्रांस के दो बड़े युद्धपोत, टोनिरेरी और स्क्रोफ के पहुंचने पर भारत में फ्रांस के राजदूत एमनैयुल लेएनिन ने खुद ये जानकारी दी.
