Translucent insects eat avocado tree leaves

Limacodidae are related to insects in the order Lepidoptera, which also includes moths and butterflies. These two translucent green caterpillars were filmed by Andrew Crosson in Quimbaya in Colombia feeding on leaves of the avocado tree.
