Huge tailbacks as drivers need negative test to cross Austrian border
- 3 years ago
Over 1,000 truck drivers queued to take a COVID-19 test to cross the Italian-Austrian border.
New regulations dictate that travelers coming from Italy have to provide a negative coronavirus test taken in the last 48 hours.
Italian authorities set up a testing hub in Vipiteno, where truck drivers could get tested for free.
If the result is negative, drivers can continue to the Brenner border.
