Karachi - DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed lauded the exceptional performance displayed by police personnel during the test match played between Pakistan and South Africa at National Stadium Karachi.

The DIG Security and Emergency Services Division stated that their devoted efforts, sincerity with duty and readiness made the conducting of test match peacefully.

It is noteworthy here that unlike past practices and to facilitate the public free flow of traffic was ensured and only major artery was blocked during match timing.

On the occasion, Commandant SSU Dr. Farrukh Ali said that SSU Commandos have always ensured provision of their best services for fool-proof security measures and to maintain law and order situation, and they will continue to serve with same zeal and zest.

More than 5000 police personnel with readiness and sheer professionalism, performed duties at National Stadium Karachi, Karachi Airport, routes, practice grounds, hotels and other different locations. 2500 personnel of Security Division including 1050 SSU Commandos, 1000 personnel of Traffic Police, 300 personnel of Rapid Response Force, 400 personnel of Special Branch and officers and police personnel of District East and South along with other law enforcement agencies performed security duties in wake of test match played between Pakistan and South Africa in Karachi.
