Matru tirth Jijau Srushti, Sindkhed Raja - Rajmata Jijau Janmasthan
In the state of Maharashtra about 90 kms from Aurangabad lies SindhkhedRaja a place of great Historical importance .
Rajmata Jijau was born on the 12th January 1598, in bhuikot palace at Sindhkhedraja in Buldhana district of Maharashtra . She was the daughter of Mahalasabai and Raje Lakhujirao Jadhav an eminent Maratha Sardar. It was here that her marriage to Shahaji Raje was finalized
'Jijau Srushti' is a project dedicated to rajmata Jijau & is spread across 450 acres of land .
Every Year on the 12th of Jan Jijau Jayanti is Celebrated here on a Grand scale , it was Due to Covid we decided to visit this matru tirth on the next day
According to their website 'Jijau Srushti' is aiming to bring all social and scietific subjects under one roof. It hopes to host Jijau Library, Jijau Museum, Women Employment Center, Jijau Military Academy for Women, Sindhu Reasearch Center, Jijau Women's University and many such institutes.
It is no wonder that SindhkhedRaja has got a unique place in the history of India and Maharashtra.
