A DELEGATION OF AN NGO LADIESFUND ACQUIRES SELF DEFENCE AND FIREARMS SAFETY TRAINING DURING THEIR VISIT AT SSU HEADQUARTERS

Karachi: On the directives of DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed, a self-defence and firearms safety course was organized at SSU Headquarters wherein, a delegation of an NGO ‘Ladiesfund’ participated.

Ladiesfund is a non-governmental organisation established in 2007 as an initiative to provide financial security to women and to promote and train women entrepreneurs.

The purpose of the course was to acquaint the members with various precautions in case of any emergency or untoward incident. During the training, participants were briefed about martial arts, firing and the use of different types of weapons. Later, they also made shooting practice practically.

The delegation also visited various sections of SSU headquarters and lauded the professional standards maintained and efforts to further enhance the capabilities of SSU Commandos.

On this occasion, DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed said that it is the need of the hour to make masses and students aware about the self-defence and basic firearm training. It is worth appreciating that students and citizens are taking interest in the course. SSU and Security Division would always offer its services in this regard.

DIG Security further stated that SSU believes in gender equality and offers equal opportunity to men & women to excel their capabilities in order to serve the nation.

Later, participants of the course were presented certificates.
