Poor countries said to be left behind in Covid-19 vaccine race as rich nations get first doses

After the world’s first coronavirus vaccines have secured regulatory approval, some countries have started vaccination programmes. But human rights groups say wealthier nations have secured enough doses to vaccinate their own populations multiple times by the end of 2021, while poorer countries will reportedly only be able to immunise at most 20 per cent of their populations immunised by that time.
