Luz, Anahit, Ana and Ivonne were young and hopeful for a better world when Uruguay's civic-military coup d'etat struck and soldiers vented their fury on their bodies, seeing them as political opponents but also as women who had dared to get involved in a struggle that didn't correspond to their gender.
