On June 9th last year, a million people took to the streets to protest against the extradition law amendment bill. Since then, rallies and assemblies took place often. Meanwhile, how would the police’s refusal to issue letters of no objection to public assemblies, the “group gathering ban”, and the National Security Law enacted by the National People’s Congress affect our freedom of assembly and the right to protest?
