Indian Premier League was postponed in March due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, fans thought they would miss their favourite cricketing stars in action for a long period. They also wondered if the league would happen at all due to the circumstances created due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But IPL returned and it returned with a bang.In the first four weeks of the league, out of the total of 32 matches, the IPL registered 7.3 billion viewing minutes and a cumulative reach of 110 million per match.


यूएई में खेले गए आईपीएल 2020 ने व्यूवरशिप के कई रिकॉर्ड्स को तोड़ दिया है। कोरोना वायरस के चलते दर्शकों के बिना खेले गए इस टूर्नामेंट में पिछले सीजन के मुकाबले 28 प्रतिशत दर्शकों की बढ़ोतरी हुई है। इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग का 13वां सीजन हाल में ही खत्म हुआ, जहां फाइनल मुकाबले में मुंबई इंडियंस की टीम ने बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन करते हुए दिल्ली कैपिटल्स को 5 विकेट से हराकर आईपीएल के खिताब पांचवीं बार अपने नाम किया। मुंबई की टीम चेन्नई के बाद दूसरी ऐसी टीम बन गई है, जो अपने टाइटल को डिफेंड करने में कामयाब रही है।
