Uphill struggle for plans to stamp out Japan ink seals

Traditional ink stamps are used to sign everything from delivery receipts to marriage certificates in Japan, and a push to digitise the nation and phase them out faces an uphill struggle. The coronavirus pandemic has crystallised the problem posed by the stamps, known as hanko, with many people unable to work from home because they need to physically stamp documents.
