Aunchalee Pokinwuttipob is no ordinary Thai protester. The 26-year-old drag queen stands out in the sea of black-clad demonstrators who have been staging weeks of protests against Thailand’s military and royalist establishment. Also known by her stage name Angele Anang, she is advocating for same-sex marriage and LGBT rights while joining the ongoing protests for greater democracy in the country.
