In a rare meeting of the Supreme People's Assembly on Wednesday, North Korea adopted an anti-smoking law.
This is raising questions over whether Kim Jong-un, a heavy smoker himself, will kick his own habit.
According to the North's state-run news agency, the law specifies places where smoking is forbidden like theaters and health centers.
Observers say the new law is a part of the regime's efforts to come more in line with other countries.
