Chennai Super Kings will square off in their last league game against Kings XI Punjab at the Sheikh Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi. MS Dhoni’s team are the first side to be officially knocked out of the tournament in the playoff race while Kings XI Punjab’s five-game winning streak came to a halt on Friday with their loss to Rajasthan Royals. That loss has thrown the entire points table situation open and six teams remain in the fray for the remaining three spots. The playoff equations heading into the match are simple for Kings XI Punjab but it will not be easy against a Chennai Super Kings unit that has stalled the playoff paths of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders.
