Munger firing: Election commission orders immediate inquiry

Firing took place during the assembly elections in Munger, Bihar, due to which unrest spread in the city. Angry people first protested in the Superintendent of Police office and later set the East Sarai police station on fire. The situation could be controlled with the understanding of the police. The Election Commission has removed the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police with immediate effect and ordered an inquiry. View full report.
