Mamata Banerjee today took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had said at an election rally in Jharkhand recently that those involved in arson can be "identified by their clothes". The Bengal Chief Minister retorted: "The whole country is burning and they are talking about the clothes you are wearing."

Union minister Suresh Angadi on Tuesday said that those destroying public property while protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act should be “shot at sight”.“I have told the district administration and railway authorities concerned that if anybody destroys public property, they can be shot at sight. I am giving this directive as a Union minister,” he said.
Different Protest in Bihar:
Big violent protests against the amended Citizenship Act across the country, posters describing Bihar CM Nitish Kumar as "missing" have come up in Patna. The posters, which have photos of Nitish Kumar with "silent on NRC and CAB" written on them, say the Bihar CM has been missing for a few days. "Look carefully at this face which hasn't been seen or heard from the last few days...Bihar will be grateful to those who find him," says one of the posters that have come up in Patna.
