Medicins Sans Frontieres has received approval from the UN Security Council and been exempted from COVID-19 related sanctions to help North Korea.
The UN Security Council Sanctions Committee on North Korea said Wednesday that it will allow the organization to provide the North medical program and emergency medical services related to the global crisis.
Starting October 14th, 6-thousand surgical masks and 2-thousand protective suits will be sent to the regime for the next 12 months.
The North has also tightened and specified its quarantine measures into three levels.
According to the North's state media on Tuesday, the highest level is a complete lockdown of the regime.
