Father-of-two Lewis Kirkbride from Durham, is recreating the 300 mile trek taken by Saxon King Harold II when he defeated a Viking invasion at the battle of Stamford Bridge, bridge marched down to fight William at the Battle of Hastings. He aims to raise at least £10,660 and awareness for mental health charity MenHealth and help to prevent more male suicides. Lewis says his four and a half stone of chain mail armour is a metaphor for the weight on men's shoulders suffering daily from depression and anxiety.
