The COVID-19 outbreak is continuing its spread across the globe.
India has reported a global daily record of new COVID-19 cases, and Mexico says it's seeing so many COVID-19 deaths that they've run out of death certificates.
Our Kim Dami has a wrap up.
India reported more than 90-thousand COVID-19 cases on Sunday alone, setting yet another global daily record.
The grim milestone came just three days after the country confirmed over 80-thousand cases last Thursday.
In fact, the country is set to surpass Brazil, becoming the second most affected country by total infections.
"So, with 6.1 (6.26) million cases the U.S. is leading and then is Brazil with 4.12 (million) but we have just 4.11 million not very far behind (Brazil). So, it's nothing to be really proud of that we are second, I think it's very very…something to dwell upon, something to worry about it."
India's local health authorities claim the case numbers have skyrocketed because of increased testing.
Despite the unsettling conditions, India has eased restrictions on public movement, including reopening of subway stations starting this month.
In Mexico, there are so many new COVID-19 deaths that the country has no more death certificates left.
Mexico registered over 67-thousand COVID-19 fatalities as of Saturday.
That's the fourth highest behind the U.S., Brazil and India.
While the WHO has voiced concerns that deaths in the country are probably "under-recognized" due to limited testing, Mexico's health ministry has pledged to print one-point-one million additional death certificates.
The situation in the UK is not any better.
Nearly three-thousand new cases were reported on Sunday, the largest daily figure since May.
"We can use and we will use local lockdowns, if that's what's necessary, but the first line of defence for everybody, no matter who you are, no matter how old you are, is to follow that social distancing."
The trend in daily number of cases has started to rise in recent weeks, but the number of patients admitted to hospitals and fatalities have remained low.
With two additional deaths confirmed on Sunday, the country's death toll now stands at over 41-thousand.
