Brazil, meanwhile, has now reported more than 4 million cases of COVID-19.
To be precise, 4-million-93-thousand.
Officials say that of those people, 80 percent have recovered.
After the United States, Brazil still ranks second in the world in terms of case numbers and deaths, but it could soon be overtaken by India, which lags by only about 70-thousand cases.
Also, in Latin America, cases and deaths are surging in Mexico.
The country has had 66-thousand deaths, which puts it fourth in the world after India.
Several regions of Mexico have run out of death certificates, prompting the government to order another 1-point-1 million of them.
The WHO says the Mexico numbers are likely undercounted because of limited testing.
