Tun M: Opposition walkout a ‘sandiwara’

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad called the walkout staged by Opposition MPs over the appointment of the new Parliament Speaker as merely a ‘sandiwara’ or play acting. He also said the letter to Dewan Rakyat secretary Datuk Roosme Hamzah proposing Datuk Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof as Speaker was indeed dated July 2.
