‘Harry Potter’ themed protests in Thailand ‘cast a spell’ for democracy
  • 4 years ago
Protesters wearing “Harry Potter” gowns and scarves and waving magic wands took to the streets of the Thai capital Bangkok on August 3, 2020. The mostly young demonstrators have been holding protests across the country for the past two weeks, demanding reform of the country’s strict lèse-majesté law that bans criticism of the monarchy. Protesters are also calling for the military-aligned government to resign.
